TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PIERCING AND JEWELLERY FITTING SERVICES:

All services are strictly available for persons over the age of 16+ ONLY (we do not accept parental consent) Please do not bring children under the age of 16 along with you to your appointment. We can not accommodate them in the studio. This includes babies in prams.

For Nipple, Navel and Female Genital services this is strictly 18+

We do not perform male genital piercing or jewellery fitting services

You may be required to provide valid photographic identification to prove you meet the age requirements, Please remember to bring your government approved identification (passport, driving licence, pass hologram approved identification) photocopies & screen shots of Identification are not permitted. Failure to provide government approved identification may result in your booking being cancelled and charged in full.

Please ensure you have not consumed alcohol or recreational drugs on the day of your appointment, or excessive alcohol the day before. Service will be refused, deposits forfeited and the remainder of the service balance charged.

We are unable to perform any piercings/jewellery changes/tapers if any topical numbing agents have been applied to the area. Service will be refused, deposit forfeited and the remainder of the service balance charged.

PIERCING, CONSULTATION AND JEWELLERY FITTING BOOKING FEES:

A non refundable booking fee is required when booking our piercing services.

Upon service being carried out the booking fee will be deducted from the total amount of service.

Booking fees are STRICTLY NON REFUNDABLE under ANY circumstances.

PIERCING, CONSULTATION AND JEWELLERY FITTING SERVICE FEES:

Our piercing service fee covers the cost of piercing and jewellery insertion. This is inclusive of basic implant grade ASTM F-136 titanium jewellery as standard. We perform initial piercings with longer jewellery to accommodate initial swelling. Once your piercing/s are feeling settled/healed please visit us for a recommended downsize labret post. Titanium Labrets cost £15 each.

We do not perform piercing or jewellery fitting/changing services with another jewellery than our own: We cannot guarantee the quality and traceability of the product.

All jewellery is thoroughly checked during the fitting process. We are not held responsible for any lost jewellery once you have left the studio. Please ensure you are happy with your jewellery fitting before you leave.

Any upgrades are an extra fee.

Should we need to use tools or ‘glove up’ for any reason such as jewellery changes, troubleshooting, downsizing, tapering or jewellery removal then this will incur a £5 PPE charge.

We cannot pierce, stretch up, taper any person who is pregnant or breastfeeding. Please do not book these services if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Service will be refused and deposits/payments forfeitted. Jewellery Fittings in very well healed & mature piercing sites are absolutely fine to book.

GIFT VOUCHER SALES:

All voucher sales are final and non refundable. Vouchers must be redeemed within 12 months of purchase.

No change will be given on vouchers, only credit to be used in the studio.

This must be used by the voucher valid until date.

We cannot redeem vouchers that are lost or stolen.

JEWELLERY SALES:

All Jewellery sales are final. Jewellery is strictly non refundable and non exchangeable. We’re happy to fit any jewellery purchased with us to ensure it’s nice and secure. We cannot accept responsibility for jewellery that has fallen out or broken if it was NOT fitted by one of our team.

Any custom jewellery orders require a deposit which varies depending on the total cost of the order. No orders will be placed before receiving a deposit. Once placed, jewellery orders cannot be cancelled and all deposits for jewellery orders are non refundable.

Please ensure you check and are happy with your jewellery purchase before leaving the studio.

JEWLELLERY MAINTENANCE:

Natural & Synthetic stones, cabochons & gems can change colour and lose shine. 

This is due to skin oils, UV, cosmetics, chemicals and temperature changes

We always recommend keeping the jewellery and piercing site dry. Particularly after cleaning the piercing. (Never clean with harsh solutions, table salt, excess salt, wound washes, surgical solutions or heavy creams) Maintain with a polishing cloth and check often for signs of wear and tear. ASTM F136 titanium can loose its shine over time, polishing cloths will revive titanium. 

The Owl & the Pussycat Piercing LTD accepts no responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of body jewellery. 


Should you believe your piece of jewellery has a manufacturing fault, please email us: hello@theowlandthepussycatpiercing.com


The piece will be sent back to manufacturers for meticulous tests for manufacturing faults. We and manufacturers accept no liability for personal damage, misuse or hard force. 


Should we conclude you jewellery has a manufacturing fault we will replace with the same piece of jewellery. Should this piece no longer be available, we will always seek to find an alternative. 

We do not accept returns and exchanges on jewellery that has been broken or damaged due to misuse, hard force, damage from wear and tear.

E COMMERCE SALES:

Orders are processed by stripe payment fulfilment service.

Stripe complies with the Electronic Commerce Directive.

The Owl & the Pussycat Piercing LTD assumes no liability for the availability or functionality of the service.

The Owl & the Pussycat Piercing accept no liability for financial loss caused by the stripe payment platform.

The Colour of jewellery materials, particularly anodised titanium, gems & precious stones may vary from stock images. Natural Gemstones can have natural inclusions. These are a natural process of the stone type and The Owl and the Pussycat Piercing LTD accepts no responsibility for such events.

Due to hygiene reasons, all sales are final. We can not accept returns or exchanges and no refunds will be issued.

We reserve the right to cancel the contract between the company and customer if:

  • we have insufficient stock levels to process your order

  • if the item was priced incorrectly due to a typographical input error

  • should we cancel your order, you will be notified via the email address provided and refunded immediately. Such refunds can take up to 7 business days to reach you, this will vary depending on your bank or building society’s terms of service.

  • Should goods not be received by the customer within 7 working days of sending. Please notify us by email. Our obligation to you will be to track down goods. In the event of loss, delivery damage or theft a claim will be submitted to Royal Mail.

The Owl and the Pussycat cannot be held responsible for any delays once the goods have left us and are in the possession of Royal Mail.

For purchases outside the UK it is your responsibility to observe and comply with relevant regulations and legislations including import customs and import tax fees.

E COMMERCE RETURNS POLICY:

All online sales are final.

We cannot accept returns or exchanges due to hygiene reasons.

Should your item arrive broken or damaged in any way, please email us with 7 days of receiving the item with a full description and photos of the issue.

All items are meticulously checked before sending for scratches, damage, manufacturing defects, mechanical issues or faults. We cannot accept responsibility for hard force or other unconditional use.

Genuine stones: genuine stones can change colour and shine: this is a natural occurrence due to UV, skin oils, chemicals, cosmetics and temperature changes. The Owl & the Pussycat Piercing accepts no responsibly for such occurrences.

For pieces with lifetime warranty’s: should any issues arise, please contact us as soon as possible via email with a description and photographs of the issue. Pieces will then have to be sent off to manufacturers for analysis: should a manufacturing fault be found by the manufacturer, the item will be replaced. Warranty’s do not cover hard force, and other unconditional uses. Jewellery warrantys do not cover loss, or theft. Lead times for replacements vary and in some instances can take up to 12 months

Should you decide you wish to cancel your order, please notify us as soon as possible via email or telephone. Unless your order has already shipped, we will refund the full amount paid.

OUR RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE:

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who has consumed alcohol or recreational drugs on the day of their appointment or consumed excessive alcohol or recreational drugs the day before. Such clients will be refused service, deposits forfeited and the remainder of the service balance charged.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who cannot provide valid photo identification to prove that they meet age requirements. Failure to provide proof of age will may result in your appointment being charged in full due to time & revenue lost.

You must have had a substantial meal in the two hours prior to your appointment . This is to ensure you blood sugar levels remain stable during & after your appointment. Failure to eat a meal prior may result in your appointment being cancelled and your deposit forfeited if we cannot find you an alternative appointment.

We reserve the right to refuse or defer service based on a clients failure to turn up to their appointment at the specified time of booking, arriving late will result in your booking being cancelled, your deposit forfeited, full payment of the remaining balance and any future bookings requiring payment in full prior to booking.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who cannot provide medical documentation or evidence regarding medical conditions and ailments in which proves with satisfaction that the client is a suitable candidate for a body piercing. Should any medical conditions render a client an unsuitable candidate for a body piercing, we will refuse our services and deposits will not be refunded.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who has applied topical numbing agents to the piercing site prior to their appointment. Any payments made as deposits or in full payments will be forfeited to the studio for time lost and cost of materials. The remainder of the balance may be charged due to time & revenue lost.

We reserve the right to refuse service based on inappropriate, anti social behaviour & harassment against staff or other clients. Any such incidents are taken seriously and reported to South Yorkshire Police immediately.

CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING AND REFUNDS POLICY:

All deposits are strictly non refundable under any circumstances.

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to request rescheduling.

In in the event of rescheduling, no shows or cancellations inside the 48 hour window: deposits will be absorbed by the company for time lost and administration costs incurred.

Failure to turn up to your booked appointment without cancelling, rescheduling or informing us will result in a charge of 100% of the remaining balance: this is due to time lost and loss of revenue. No shows will be banned from making future bookings.

Cancelled appointments within the 48 hour window will result in a charge of 100% of the remaining balance: this is due to time lost and loss of revenue.

Late arrivals will be marked as ‘no show’ and deposits forfeited. The remainder of the balance will be requested. Any future bookings will require payment in full prior to booking.

Piercing, jewellery fitting fee’s and sales are final and are strictly non refundable after the sale is complete.

In the event of the booking being cancelled by the operator, the booking fee will remain property of the operator and be carried forward to a future appointment.

If an appointment can not be offered to the client within a month of cancellation by the operator then a refund may be requested.

Bracelet Policy:

* We are only able to weld one bracelet per appointment- Sets/Matching bracelets must be booked with separate consecutive appointments

* The minimum age for welded bracelets is 10 years old. Anyone under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. please do not bring children under the age of 16 to the studio if they are not booked for a bracelet. We are a small busy studio and cannot accommodate children unfortunately.

* We respectfully request that clients booked for bracelets do not bring an excess of people along. We are a small busy studio and do not have the space to accommodate this. If you are coming with a group of people for bracelets we ask you wait at the front of the shop to ensure the space is not becoming too busy for other clients. We are also lucky enough to have an excellent neighbouring coffee shop.

* Bracelets can be removed by yourself with a sharp pair of scissors however we recommend popping in so we can help remove the bracelet efficiently with tools

* We do not accept returns on our welded bracelets for hygiene reasons and our bracelets are custom made to measure for each client

* If you require your bracelet resizing this will incur a £10 fee for smaller resizes. For larger sizes you must pay again. Please ensure you are happy with your size before you leave

* Our Gold bracelets are gold fill: this is a hardy & sturdy metal which is very durable. Our silver bracelets require a little extra care: please be mindful and ensure the bracelet is polished with a polishing cloth often. Solid gold is available (made to order) for an additional fee (priced from £125) Our charms are made from gold fill and silver.

* Our permanent bracelets can last a long time if you’d like, depending on your lifestyle & and are prepared to look after them. You must be mindful as the chain is very delicate. Any pull or snag can stretch the bracelet. If your bracelet breaks or stretches we will do our best to repair it. This will depend on how much the bracelet has stretched.

* The spark is safe and cannot burn you or your wrist. Just do not look directly at the light when we perform the weld.

* Welded bracelets are safe for pregnant and breastfeeding clients. However please be aware that should you require a c-section/surgery or suffer from swelling your bracelet may need to be removed. Please visit us if you require any help with this.

* Bookings require valid card details to book an appointment. We require 48 hours notice for reschedules & cancellations. Cancellations within the 48 hour window will incur a 100% charge of the balance. Failure to turn up to your appointment without informing us will result in 100% charge of your appointment. Arriving late to your appointment may result in your appointment being cancelled and charged in full.

* All bracelets come with a 14 day grace period*

* grace period: 14 day grace period covers repairs for accidental stretching or breakages in the first 14 days. Our grace period does not cover loss of bracelets. Any repairs after this time will incur at least a £10 charge up to the cost of the bracelet.

TOOTH GEM POLICY:

Tooth Gems are suitable for ages 16+ only. Please do not bring children under the age of 16 with you, we are a small busy studio and we unfortunately cannot accommodate children.

Please bring government approved identification (passport, driving licence, young persons card) photocopies & screen shots of Identification are not permitted

48 hours notice is required to cancel or amend your appointment.

Appointments cancelled within the 48 hour window will incur a 100% appointment fee

Failure to turn up to your appointment without informing us (no show) will incur a 100% appointment fee & you will be banned from making any further appointments with the studio

If you are feeling under the weather, suffering with coughs, colds, sickness or are generally feeling unwell, Please inform us prior. We are working closely in the mouth and it is unfair for Tooth Gem Technician to be exposed to illness

Coming to your appointment Ill will result in your appointment being cancelled and the appointment fee charged/requested. Please let us know if you are feeling unwell prior to your appointment.

Appointment times are short and turning up late may result in you missing your appointment. If you are running more than 5 minutes late please contact the studio by telephone asap. Arriving late may result in your appointment being cancelled and charged a 100% appointment fee

Tooth gems do not work on false teeth or veneers. Tooth gems are only suitable for natural teeth.

Tooth Gems will last as long as you are mindful. This will depend on your lifestyle & your commitment to how you look after them. We cannot guarantee the longevity of your piece.

Tooth Gems are non refundable nor returnable.

Tooth gems are not suitable for certain retainer wearers (fixed & hawley) or brace wearers (Invisalign etc)

Tooth gems are not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding clients

If you are currently undergoing dental work or have ongoing dental issues you are not suitable for tooth gems.

If you have any open wounds, cold sores or fresh oral piercings you are not suitable for tooth gems

Tooth gems are not permanent. To remove you must visit your dentist for a scale and polish. Please do not attempt to remove yourself. We do not remove tooth gems.

Children’s Ear Piercing:

This service is STRICTLY from 8+ ONLY

First Lobe Piercing ONLY (I will not perform piercings any where else on the lobe and does not include cartilage)

All children attending MUST be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

Only the child booked in for their piercing and their parent/guardian will be permitted into the piercing room.

Any other children in attendance must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. They will not be permitted into the piercing room. Please ensure you have another adult present to watch them. For health and safety reasons the studio isn’t suitable for children under the age of 16 to be left unattended. Failure to adhere to the rules of service will result in service being refused.

Both Child & Parent MUST have government issued,in date photo identification. Without this service will be refused.

Legal Guardians must provide the relevant paperwork which states they are the legal guardian of the child

Children must have had a substantial meal in the hour prior to their appointment

Body Autonomy is incredibly important and the service will be conducted with most of the prompts and speaking aimed at the child. It’s their piercing experience and they are in control of their own bodies. All children will have a consultation prior to the piercing where the aim will be that they understand the process, the aftercare involved and the importance of stopping the procedure should they change their mind.

Our piercings are performed with single use disposable blades and tools. We do not use guns

Our jewellery is of the highest quality implant grade titanium.

We pierce one lobe at a time.

Plain High Polish Titanium and a plain high polish ball attachment is £70 for the lobe pair. Single lobe is £35

Prices will vary depending if upgrade jewellery is chosen. We have lots of choice on the day. Upgrades start from a extra £10 per ear.

Full written & verbal aftercare is given and a bottle of Neilmed Piercing Aftercare Solution is included.

Prior to booking please take a moment to read our terms of service, and ensure all relevant documents are present and in date.

Our consent form is in digital form and a phone /tablet will be needed to complete it

A non refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment.

Please note that this is strictly non refundable under any circumstances

AT LEAST 3 hours notice is required to reschedule.

Failure to turn up to your booked appointment (no show) or cancelling within 3 hours will result in the full amount being charged.
